About Me…

I became a registered Acupuncturist in September of 2019 and since then I couldn’t be happier helping people heal, change, develop, and improve their lives using Chinese Medicine.

Natural medicine has always been in my life. My mum would use aromatherapy on me when I was growing up which sparked an interest in all natural skin and hair care, eating whole foods, and a part time curiosity in astrology, crystals, and tarot.
I found my acupuncture calling when I needed to change careers back in 2012. I was a flight attendant but my ears couldn’t cope with the constant pressure of taking off and landing. I was told to go down the surgical route, which I didn’t want to do, so instead I saw an acupuncturist (also named Dr Alice) to help with the pain. Spellbound by my results, it was from here I started my studies in Acupuncture at the Endeavour Collage of Natural Health.
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is something I am so grateful for, as I found a career I want to sustain for the rest of my working life. I love continuing my studies and expanding my knowledge to help me help my clients.
A big advocator for balance in life, I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert - happy, energetic, ready to be your cheerleader. You will find me recharging curled up with a cuppa, a good book, and my cat
.

MY APPROACH

Genuine, down to earth, simplified yet detailed health care is what I strive to give my clients. I love helping people integrate Chinese medicine philosophy and ideas into their lifestyle without over complicating things. Life is already so hectic, let’s keep health care easy.

NO JUDGEMENTS

We come from all walks of life, with different levels of privilege, education, and previous health care. I have hated being in a doctors office and made to feel stupid or inadequate because I have had questions or different views about my own health. So I vowed never to make someone feel that way in my treatments. Ask all the questions you want! If I have the answer, I will give it to you, if I don’t have the answer, I will try and find it.

INCLUSIVE

I will always do my best to make my clinic rooms a safe space for all. I want to always use inclusive language. I believe all bodies can be treated individually no matter your gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, or philosophy. I never, ever, want you to apologise for the way your body looks in the treatment space - seriously, I don’t care - I only care if you haven’t taken your herbs, jokes. (but not really, take your herbs!).

EDUCATION

There is power in knowledge, in knowing your body and I want to pass this onto you. Let me educate you on how your body works according to Chinese Medicine. Let me help you understand why conditions arise and what you can do to help prevent them. Let me share with you the deep sources of information I have accumulated over the years of practice. I’m not here to gate-keep. I am here to help you take back control of your health.

GOAL BASED TREATMENTS

After finding out what you need help with, I love to find out WHY you want help. Setting health goals helps me work out a treatment plan that aligns with you and your current lifestyle. I love to get behind a person’s reason to WHY they want to feel better, as we are all individuals with different wants and needs. Goal setting helps me keep you on track, especially when we get caught up with the hectic-ness of life..
