Pain Relief

“Bu tong ze tong, tong ze bu tong.”
“If there is no free flow, there is pain, if there is free flow, there is no pain.”

The free flow of Qi (pronounced chee) around the body is vital to ensure balance and harmony. When the Qi in the body becomes trapped or stagnated, pain can occur. With the use of fine needles, inserted into acupuncture points, the movement of Qi can be manipulated, allowing it to flow through the body freely once more.

Acupuncture and pain relief go hand in hand.
From recent to old injuries, to waking up stiff from sleeping incorrectly, from over using muscles, to pulling your back while bending down to pick something up (yeah, it happens), Acupuncture is an integral key in helping your Qi circulate around your body, encouraging healing and balance.

Alongside Acupuncture, other techniques I may use to help you get to your pain-free goals quicker include:
Cupping
Body gua sha
Chinese herbal liniments
Infrared therapy
Tui Na (Chinese body work)
Stretches

How Can Acupuncture Help?

Acupuncture is the process of inserting fine, single use, sterile needles into acupuncture points on the body. The acupuncture points are chosen according to the Chinese Medicine diagnosis process where I take an in-depth history of your menstrual cycle and your current lifestyle, combining that with the palpation of the 12 Chinese pulses on your wrists and a look at your tongue.

Chinese Medicine is an holistic medicine which looks at the root cause of your pain. Each treatment is individualised works on the underlying reason of why YOU are suffering. I use a mixture of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Chinese Medicine dietary advice, Chinese Medicine lifestyle advice, supplements, as well as heat therapies like moxibustion and infrared heat lamps, to work on your underlying constitution.

Helping people with their pain is something I have loved doing!

So if you are looking for alternative and holistic way to treat your pain, then get yourself booked in today.

I really look forward to meeting you!
